…The United States was among the 10 countries most affected by climate change in 2011, as it was battered by tornadoes, hurricanes and scorching temperatures.

The United States was ranked seventh in the Global Climate Risk Index for 2011 after jumping 23 places from its 2010 rank of 30, according to a report released by Bonn, Germany-based non-governmental organization Germanwatch…
